Meribel produces first foal

Meribel's 2010 Street Cry filly

Shortly before noon on March 2nd, 2010, our young graded stakes winning mare Meribel produced her first foal, a healthy, strong dark bay filly by Street Cry (Ire).

Meribel retired from racing last spring after posting victories in Keeneland's Grade III Valley View Stakes, plus two Belmont Park stakes and a Saratoga stakes. The daughter of Peaks and Valleys also placed in seven blacktype races, including three Grade II tests, for earnings of more than $523,000.

She will be bred to Medaglia d'Oro in 2010.
