Runnymede a Leading Consignor! 6/12/2007
 Marylebone Making the Grade:
True success in our business is measured by Grade, and Runnymede Farm has proved to be superior in this industry year after year.
In the June 8th, 2007, issue of the Blood Horse’s journal Market Watch, Runnymede Farm outranked all other Keeneland September yearling consignors by percentage of graded stakes winners, producing a stellar five graded winners within a five-year span, from 2000-2004. This amazing feat was accomplished from just 67 yearlings offered during that period, and its percentage of graded stakes winners, 7.5%, easily outpaced its fellow horsemen.
In fact, of the top ten consignors by percentage of graded stakes winners, the only consignors to sell more stakes winners came from consignments that nearly doubled that of Runnymede Farm.
Two of Runnymede’s five graded stakes winners from the first half of this decade are Grade/Group One winners, MARYLEBONE and PALACE EPISODE. This number ranks a close seventh on the list by percentage of Grade/Group One winners from the era.
Runnymede Farm also ranked seventh in the world from 2000-2004 by average price of $200,819 for its 47 yearlings sold. It proves the enduring quality of our bloodstock that we present at the sales.
Further digesting the data from the 2007 Market Watch article, 75% of the September yearlings offered by Runnymede became winners, marking one of the higher percentages on the pages of consignor information. Ten of those winners (20%) were juveniles, and an eye-popping 28%, or 19 horses, earned black-type. In fact, nearly 20% banked home more than $100,000 in earnings with an average of 16 career starts.
This article exemplifies the caliber and durability of horses raised here at Runnymede Farm. Yet, it does not reflect horses that have gone through other sales or were sold privately, such as Japan’s champion older horse AGNES DIGITAL, or group horses JALISCO LIGHT and SHELL GAME, just to name a few.
