Chancey Squaw Bred to Henrythenavigator
3/17/2009

Dame Ursula, daughter of Chancey Squaw

Runnymede Farm’s Blue Hen CHANCEY SQUAW has been bred this spring to first-year sensation HENRYTHENAVIGATOR, a multiple Group I winning son of Kingmambo and Irish Highweight Sequoyah (Ire), by Sadler’s Wells.

Chancey Squaw, an 18-year-old daughter of Chief’s Crown, has produced four stakes horses thus far. Her first foal, AGNES DIGITAL, took Japan by storm, winning stakes in five consecutive seasons, including the Hong Kong Cup (GI), and being crowned Champion in 2001. He is now proving his worth as a sire in Japan.

Her other stakes winners are JALISCO LIGHT and SHELL GAME, and she also produced Group I stakes-placed Reach for the Moon. Chancey Squaw has a two-year-old filly by Fantastic Light named Lady of Akita, a three-year-old filly named Dame Ursula, and a yearling colt by Bernardini. She was rested last year.
