Dancing David Successful in Newbury Maiden 10/9/2009
Runnymede Farm’s homebred Dancing David (Ire) was favored in a one-mile maiden turf test October 8th after his runner-up debut effort a month ago. The two-year-old son of Danehill Dancer (Ire) did not disappoint, carrying the Runnymede silks to a 2 ¼-length victory for trainer Brian Meehan, and finishing the distance in 1:40.99 over good ground.
Out of the solid producing Seeking the Gold mare Seek Easy, the juvenile colt hails from the family of successful sires Flying Spur, Encosta de Lago, Holy Roman Emperor, and the promising young sire Kheleyf, as well as Horses of the Year Fanfreluche and L’Enjoleur, and champions La Voyageuse and Medaille d’Or.
