Runnymede well represented in Racing Post Trophy Stakes 10/25/2009
Runnymede Farm and Catesby W. Clay’s homebred two-year-old colt Dancing David (Danehill Dancer [Ire]) finished a willing fourth in Britain’s final Group I race of the year, the Racing Post Trophy Stakes (Eng-GI) on October 24th.
Dancing David entered the Racing Post, arguably the hottest two-year-old race of the season, off an impressive maiden victory on October 8th. The Brian Meehan trainee finished his juvenile season with this fourth-place effort and will be freshened for the spring Classics.
Undefeated sensation St Nicholas Abbey won the Racing Post and is now considered the early favorite for next year’s Epsom Derby (Eng-GI).
