Another winner for top producer Chancey Squaw 12/7/2009
Lady of Akita as a yearling Runnymede Farm’s blue-hen Chancey Squaw produced another winner when her two-year-old filly LADY OF AKITA won a maiden event at Wolverhampton on December 4th. It was the second start for the Fantastic Light lass, and she drew off easily to win by 1¼ lengths as the favorite of the field.
Lady of Akita races in the colors of Mr. Catesby W. Clay and is owned by her breeders, Runnymede Farm and Peter J. Callahan. Currently trained by John Gosden, she is scheduled to continue her career as a three-year-old in America.
Chancey Squaw is the dam of Japan’s champion and successful sire Agnes Digital, an earner of more than $6 million, as well as stakes horses Shell Game, Reach for the Moon (G1-placed), and Jalisco Light, a multiple stakes winner of $861,000 and a full sibling to Lady of Akita.
