U Glow Girl, a two-year-old Girvin filly out of Mexican Miss won in her second career start in a $83,000 Maiden Special Weight at Saratoga on Wednesday, August 17th. Purchased by Falguieres Bloodstock and partners at the 2020 Keeneland November sale as a weanling for $36,000 and sold to Steve Landers Racing at the 2020 Fasig Tipton October Sale for $50,000, U Glow Girl is working under current trainer Brad H. Cox. The beautiful dark bay filly put in several workouts at Keeneland racetrack before heading to Saratoga where she had her career debut on July 20th, finishing in third place in a maiden special weight. U Glow Girl contested the early pace outside of competitor Rule of the Night but wrested the command midway on the turn. Nearing the entrance of the stretch the filly was roused by jockey Flavien Platt and padded her advantage, reporting home seven and a quarter lengths ahead.
