Opening weekend at Keeneland Race Course delivered a standout performance as Remember Mamba rallied late to win the Grade III Transylvania Stakes, remaining unbeaten and announcing himself as a serious contender on the turf scene.
Trained by Cherie DeVaux, the 3-year-old son of Kitten’s Joy showcased an impressive turn of foot, overcoming traffic in the stretch and surging past rivals in the final strides. His late kick proved decisive in a competitive field, underscoring both his acceleration and composure under pressure.
The victory marked his third win from three starts and his first at the graded stakes level, continuing a rapid rise that has positioned him among the more exciting young turf horses in training.
Bred by Burning Daylight Farm and November Hill, Remember Mamba has steadily progressed with each outing. His Transylvania performance highlighted not only his raw ability, but also the patience in his development, as he continues to stretch out and handle tougher competition.
A graduate of Runnymede Farm, where he was foaled, raised, and later sold at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale for $270,000.
With this breakthrough graded stakes win, he now looks ahead to longer distances and deeper competition as the spring and summer racing season unfolds.
