Runnymede Farm is proud to announce that Goal Oriented, a Runnymede-bred Grade I winner, has been retired from racing and will begin his stallion career at Spendthrift Farm. The son of Not This Time capped off an exceptional 3-year-old season with a decisive victory in the GI Malibu Stakes at Santa Anita, stopping the clock in 1:20.97 and earning a 108 Beyer Speed Figure, one of the fastest performances by a 3-year-old in 2025.
Trained by Bob Baffert, Goal Oriented consistently proved himself at the highest level, competing against elite company throughout the season. In addition to his Malibu triumph, he was Grade I placed in both the Haskell Stakes and the Pennsylvania Derby, retiring sound with earnings exceeding $624,000. His combination of brilliance, durability, and class made him a standout of his generation.
Goal Oriented is out of Bizzy Caroline, a graded stakes winner from an exceptional female family that includes champion Lady Eli, further reinforcing his depth of pedigree. He will stand at Spendthrift Farm beginning in 2026 with an introductory fee of $30,000 S&N.
