With a record of success for its horses and clients that extends around the world, Runnymede Farm has proven to be both a leader in innovation as well as a rock of longstanding quality and tradition at Thoroughbred auctions.
The reason buyers from North and South America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East regularly seek Runnymede-breds is perfectly illustrated by the remarkable performance delivered in 2010 by colts and fillies the farm offered at auction in 2009. More than 10% of the yearlings presented at sales earned Grade or Group 1 black type as juveniles, many times more than the overall industry standard and even farther above the norm for two-year-olds. Those exceptional runners included Grade 1 winner Jaycito, Irish Group 2 winner and Group 1-placed Laughing Lashes and Grade 3 winner and Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (G1) third-place finisher Rogue Romance.
With Runnymede perhaps the only farm in the United States to have participated in leading sales in England, France and Japan in recent years as well as at Keeneland and Fasig-Tipton, our horses have gone on to compete for top international owners, including Sheikh Mohammed and Coolmore.
When we lead a Runnymede-bred into a sales ring, we are leading in a runner.
