This year we were fortunate enough to showcase two of our yearlings at the 2023 Saratoga Select Sale. Out of our foundation mare, Koala Queen, the dark bay colt by Mckinzie was one to watch. Runnymede is well known for it's mares and their familial connections. This mare is no exception. Half sister to Helena Bay (GB) (Johannesburg), and stakes winner Woodwin W and the graded stakes placed Las Venturas and Deep Sound. In that family is also stakes winner, Helena's Triomphe. Koala Queen is also the fam of stakes winner and Gr3 placed Koala Princess.

Walking to the ring with a great pedigree and an excellent physical, the colt by McKinzie turned heads and we were excited to see him offered and he did not disappoint. Sold to CRK Stable for $700,000, the colt led the group of eight total McKinzie offspring with an average of $381,250 and a median of $375,000.  Congratulations to co-breeders Peter Callahan and Frederick Zinkhan. We thank them for sharing this venture with us and we can't wait to see where this colt's career takes him!
