Stakes Winners

Runnymede Farm has long been dedicated to the breeding and raising of the best Thoroughbreds possible. Successful breeding starts with good mares and proper matings, but just as importantly, it also includes fertile land and uncompromising horsemanship.

The rolling pastures that comprise Runnymede have produced some of the most accomplished performers of the breed. They include four horses enshrined in the National Museum of Racing Hall of Fame, three Kentucky Derby winners, three Kentucky Oaks winners and indelible stars of history such as Angle Light, who defeated Secretariat in the 1973 Wood Memorial Stakes (G1).

Our horses have excelled around the globe, with Agnes Digital honored as a champion in Japan and Laughing Lashes acknowledged as one of Ireland's top juvenile fillies in 2010. In the United States, Runnymede has produced the victors of virtually every important stakes race on the American racing calendar.
