Royal Laughter Breaks Maiden in Second Start
Friday, June 16, 2023

Royal Laughter was victorious at Canterbury Park on Saturday, June 10th for her second start. The one mile maiden special weight took place on the dirt and housed a field of seven. Jockey Daylor Berrios-Lopez was in the saddle as the filly made a good start from post one, racing in the two path around the first turn and staying in the middle of the pack but towards the inside until reaching the backstretch where the pair made a bid for the lead. Once in the final turn the filly passed tiring foes and drew off; winning brilliantly by eight lengths! Royal Laughter is the three year old daughter of now retired mare, Pleasant Laughter and is by the great Cairo Prince. Trainer Coty Rosin has the filly entered in the Curtis Sampson Oaks on Wednesday, June 21st. The one mile stakes race will be held on the turf and have a field of nine. Berrios-Lopez will be in the saddle again, breaking from the three post this time around. Race time is set for 6:42 PM (Ct)/ 7:42 PM (EST) for race 4. Good luck to this filly any congratulations to the Runnymede team!
